Supporting rangatahi participation in Sport, Wairoa

In August 2022 ECCT provided funding of $150,900 to 18 educational / sporting establishments in Wairoa with the specific purpose of enabling tamariki and rangatahi to participate in sports.
The funding support was coordinated through Wairoa's Principal Association and at the end of September, the ECCT Trustees and Staff took the time to visit Wairoa on their way to Tairāwhiti to see the amazing Kapa Haka festival taking place with all the schools, which is a huge event for all the rangatahi, their whānau and wider Community.
A wonderful and heartwarming website with individual videos from schools and organisations was created to show how the funds were put to use across the community of Wairoa.
