Hawke's Bay Funders Forum

On Wednesday 15th November, the Hawke’s Bay Funders Forum hosted a funding clinic for over 220 community organisations at the Napier War Memorial Centre. 

The Hawke’s Bay Funders forum was established in 2007 and is made up of both local councils, Central Govt. agencies, Gambling Trusts and other regional funding organisations. 

The Forum is currently co-chaired by David Clapperton and Nadia Hardie of Eastern & Central Community Trust.  The forum has worked collaboratively throughout the year, especially focused on the support and recovery of those communities affected by the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle.  

The group meets once a month and shares ideas and projects which may benefit from collaboration from various funding partners.   

The event was kindly opened by Napier Councillor, Sally Crown, who offered a warm welcome to all.  The event was oversubscribed showing the keen interest and high need from organisations across the region.  Twelve organisations briefly presented funding avenues currently available and then organisations had time to chat directly to funders/agencies with questions.
