What we fund

Our aim is to support community initiatives that can help build stronger, more sustainable communities. We look for applications that align with our priority outcomes, and, if possible, work with our strategic focus areas.

We currently  have two funds open for grants:

Our Grassroots Fund provides grants for a range of things, depending on the funding pathway. There are four funding pathways – participation, service, development and education.

In general, it will fund operating costs, programme costs, coaching, events, equipment, small assets, vehicles, repairs and maintenance, and grassroots, regional or local activities.

It will support project-based development activities to assist with community-led consultation and planning, community-based partnerships, and support community leadership and capacity development. It will also support a limited range of educational projects.

For more details, check out the Grassroots Fund page.

The Community Assets & Facilities Fund is for capital projects, and is designed to help communities create and maintain the community assets and facilities needed to meaningfully participate in community life.

If you have a community asset that needs to be built, developed or maintained, have a conversation with us about how we may be able to help.

For more details, check out our Community Assets & Facilities Fund page.

Please note: we are unlikely to fully fund a project by ourselves. We may ask if you have other funders arranged, and how much you will be putting towards a project yourselves.
