Two new trustees appointed to the ECCT Board

January 2025 saw the appointment of two new trustees to the board of Eastern & Central Community Trust.

Ashleigh Gilmour, of Hawke's Bay and Rodney Wong, of Manawatū have both been appointed to the board till May 2028.   David Clapperton, ECCT Chief Executive warmly welcomed both new Trustees, and the reappointments of John Bunny of Wairarapa and Rena Kohere, Gisborne to the board.

There are now 11 trustees in total from across ECCT's six regions. Community Trust board appointments are made by the Minister of Finance, under the Community Trusts Act 1999. Trustees are selected for their professional or community-based experience and must live within the Trust’s region.
